Candy Necklace memories... When I was little I used to eat candy necklaces all the time. I loved the chalky taste. On my tenth birthday I had a sleepover and I invited my 2 best friends over, I gave them candy necklaces and other sweets as party favors. We watched a scary movie and ate popcorn and candy. After the movie we had a fashion show, my friend Amanda wore my big sisters prom dress along with her candy necklace. After the fashion show we were all so tired we decided it was time for bed.

The next morning I woke up to laughing, I sat up and saw my friend Audrey pointing at Amanda and hysterically laughing. I told her to be quiet since Amanda was still asleep. After Audrey stopped laughing I asked her what she was laughing about and she said "Amanda left her candy necklace on all night and it left a colorful mark on her neck!" I started laughing so hard I was crying. My laughing was so loud Amanda woke up. She said "What are you guys laughing about?" We just sat there and laughed until she figured it out herself. To this day whenever we see each other we always laugh about it. I love candy necklaces!!! ~ Stephanie from Maine

I wrapped the candy necklace around my wrist and would eat them constantly (but discreetly) during class, because we weren't allowed to eat during class. I swear that I lived of those things. My prom date knew that I loved them, and for my prom, he got me a bunch of them to wrap around my wrist instead of a corsage. I don't know if he was being sweet or thoughtful, but I thought it was the coolest thing ever. ~ Sonya from Maryland

Going to school for kindergarten was a big thing for me. As a shy only child, I was nervous about making friends. I'll never forget Molly, a smiling brunette who made me feel right at home when the teacher assigned me a seat next to her.

Molly made me feel like this new world I was in was an exciting one and that school was fun. Better yet, she shared candy from her candy necklace with me throughout my first day. Not only was she generous, but she introduced me to the wonderful world of candy necklaces! Jewelry AND food - it doesn't get better than that. And thanks to Molly and her pretty candy, I felt right at home. ~ Jennifer from New Jersey

When I was younger, I use to use candy necklaces for real necklaces and would wear them to the mall, store and fairs! People would try to eat my candy! Then I would run to my home and lock my bedroom door! Then, when I thought the coast was clear, I would go back outside and eat my candy before I could knock up for my friends and play again.

The necklaces were good, but I didn't like the green flavor! It tasted like lime, I don't like lime!) My favorite flavor was banana, the yellow bead! Sometimes I would share with my mother and sister! ~ Angela from Pennsylvania
