Coconut Slice memories... When I was little (1970's), about
once a month my mother would take me and my brother to the mall. We
would always get to visit the candy store there, if we had behaved
while she was hopping. I would always pick the coconut slices. I loved
the colors and when I ate them, I would try to eat one color at a
time. I hadn't seen coconut slices in about 20 years until I happened
across your website. Thank you for the memories! ~ Rebecca from
Indiana
I was
thrilled to see that you carried Coconut Rainbow candy. Being raised
on a Texas farm during the fifties and sixties, I had to ride a school
bus to school each day. To make my ride easier, I would purchase this
delightful candy at the school candy counter and eat it on the way
home. I would eat each strip individually, trying to make it last all
the way home. Over the years, I have thought about this wonderful
confection and all the fond memories of those "bus rides" home. Thank
you for bringing memories alive again and for offering this candy to a
new generation. ~ Donna from Texas
When I was a little girl in Virginia one of my
fondest memories was going to my aunts house. If we were good and had finished all of our chores we got to stop by the little country store
for candy. We could get a whole lunch sack for 10 cents my favorite was the coconut slices, where my brother and sister would fill there bag
with different kinds of candy mine would be full of nothing but coconut slices. It has been years since I've had these wonderful treats and
I was so glad when I found them on your site. Thank you for the wonderful memories that your site brought back, you really made my day. ~

When we were children in Arkansas we would travel to see my popa Frank. He lived about 60 miles away. We would
stop at this little store and service station and we would get to buy a candy bar and orange soda. I always bought the coconut bar. Eating each color
at a time and saving the chocolate till last.
I hadn't seen this candy for years until I went on vacation with my sister to Arkansas. We bought several. The next year we went we could not find
them anywhere. We were very disappointed. ~ Maxine from California Coconut Slices memories >>>
