Kit Kat memories... As a little girl it was a treat for us to go to the movies. On Saturday
afternoons my parents would drop off my Sister and I and a few cousins to see a show. After the movie, we had to walk to meet our ride home
and we had to pass the tavern where my Great-Uncle sat on Saturday afternoons. I can still hear his voice yell from inside the bar, "Dawnie,
I'll buy you a Kit Kat!" I would trot in an he would have a Giant Kit Kat waiting for me!! ~ Dawn from Wisconsin
Ever since I can remember, I have admired and loved the famous Kit Kat candy bar. It has been my
favorite candy and remains so till date.
One of my fondest memories is the time when I was around 5 years old. My uncle would gift me a Kit Kat candy bar each time he visited us. I
would then break off each of the fingers from the bar and place it on my fingers and pretend that I had chocolate fingers! I would walk
around the house with my palm held out for all to see. Slowly, I would eat off each finger, one by one until all the chocolate was gone.
Of course I don't do this anymore, but whenever I pass by a vending machine that stocks a Kit Kat bar, it brings back fond memories of my
childhood antics. ~ Fatema from Georgia
I remember that Kit Kats were my fathers favorite chocolate bars. One time, when I was about four or
five years old, my mother bought a bag of mini Kit Kat bars for Dad and kept the in the fridge. One night I asked my mother for one of the
kits kats and she told me that I had already had enough sugar that day. I walked away pouting and thinking about the sweet crunchy chocolate
taste I would be missing.
On my way to my room, my cravings took over and, on an impulse, I ran to the fridge, grabbed a Kit Kat and popped it into my mouth. I then
ran across the dining room to my room and jumped into my bed. I began chewing the candy as quickly as I could, but was disappointed to
realize that I that I had grabbed a dark chocolate Kit Kat instead a a regular Kit Kat. I made a face as I tried to swallow the more bitter
chocolate.
Mom must have seen me fleeing from the kitchen because she came into my room seconds later and asked me if I had taken a Kit Kat. I shook my
head "no," but my mouth was full. My mother demanded that I open my mouth, so I had no choice but to reveal all of that dark chocolate. To
this day, I get a guilty feeling whenever I see a Kit Kat bar. ~ Amanda from California
