Marshmallow Cone memories...

As a child, I remember going to the store just to find this candy. It was my favorite. And, it still is. My brother, who is 3 years and 3 months
younger than me, loves these marshmallow ice cream cone candies too. As a matter of fact, we would fight over who would get the last one.
Well, I am now 30 years old and would love to share this candy with my children. It's fun to eat and they
really do look like real ice cream cones. Of course, if my brother finds out, who is now 27 years old, that I have found a place to get these, we will
probably still fight to see who will get the last one. ~ Pamela from Texas
I cannot believe these are still made-they bring back so many memories of some more than 50 years back. Me and
my friends in our small neighborhood were allowed to walk to the nearby variety store where the selection of penny candy was beyond us all! We
probably took a half hour to decide what we had to have.
What patience the man behind the counter had to have. We were a bunch of 6 &7 year olds! These ice cream cones
were one of my all time favorites! What a treat to have an "ice cream' on the days when the ice cream man and his bell did not make it into our
neighborhood. ~ Donna from Mass.
The Marshmallow cone has been my favorite
treat since I was 4 years old. My fondest memory with the ice cream cones was
when I lived in Philadelphia.
Every Friday, my two young cousins would come over
and we would go to the corner store for some treats. The store owner would
always give my cousins and me 5 of the cones for 50 cents and then he would tell
us a long story about his childhood.
A few years ago I went back to the corner
store to see the owner, and a girl in the store told me that he passed away a
few months earlier. She asked me what my name was, and told me there was a
special package just for me in the office. In the back room, which used to be
his office was a box of 200 marshmallow cones with a note "Ashley, I hope you
enjoy these they were all I had left to give to you." For that I will always
remember the marshmallow cones and the old man's stories. ~ Ashley from New
Jersey
