Razzles memories...

I absolutely love Razzles. The rich and sugary taste of all the flavors, orange,
raspberry, lemon, blue raspberry, and our favorite grape. You could buy them at
the county fair under a little booth run by my great uncle, Terry. I would pop
two or three grape flavored Razzles in to my mouth, grind carefully and slowly
with my teeth and then wait for them to dissolve into gum. It was truly heaven
when I went to the county fair always counting on Terry to toss a pack of the
candy to me to get me through the hot day.
One day he didn't come. Although my mother bought me a balloon and cotton candy,
but still my mouth watered for the taste of grape. That night we found out that
he had died. I smooshed my head under my pillow, waiting for something. I knew
something wouldn't happen, unless I made it. So here I am, seven years later,
taking over the candy stand at the county fair. ~ Devin from Louisiana
When I was like... 7, maybe... I had this friend, Megan. We used to do everything together, and once... we were on our way to the beach, and we
decided we wanted to go fishing. So, on the way there, we made her mommy stop at a gas station, and we got some Razzles. Then, once we got to the
beach, we took off our shoe laces and tried fishing out on the inflatable rafts with shoe strings with chewed Razzles at the end. We honestly didn't
understand why it wasn't working. ~ Emily from Texas
Razzles - One of my favorite childhood candies - or was it a gum? I remember many times my mother sending me to
the local neighborhood store for one item or another. She was disabled and had five children so as often as three or four times a week one of us was
sent to the store which also had a great selection of candy. My mother always gave us a nickel or a dime to spent for out efforts. So many candy items
to choose from but I remember almost always asking for the Razzles. They were my favorites at the time and I still love them. ~ Dolores from
Pennsylvania
