Reese's Peanut Butter Cups memories...

As a child I remember always
having Reese's Peanut Butter Cups around the house. It was the main
candy that my Dad craved so he would buy it and share it with us
kids. We became addicted to them as well and now even as an adults
they are our favorite candy. My Grandma would always make sure to
buy some when she knew we were coming over to visit. She would go
around and fill up all her empty candy bowls with them.
These days a
visit from my Dad is a rare occurrence since he lives on the other
side of the state but when he comes to town you can bet that all her
candy bowls are filled to the brim with Reese's peanut butter cups!!

When I was a little girl, everyone knew
that Reese's Cups were my favorite candy. I have fond memories of the square box
wrapped in gold paper, that seemed so special to me at that time. At various
times when I was upset about something or not feeling well, my grandparents or
my parents would give me one of these gold boxes filled with the individual size
Reese's Cup.
I recall that when I had my tonsils
removed at the age of five, my grandma brought me a mug that was shaped liked a
cowboy boot and was filled to overflowing with the bite size Reese's Cups. To
this day, at 45 years of age, when I am feeling down or sick, the first thing I
want is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! They always make me feel better. I guess
it's like comfort food for me! ~ Nanette from Florida
