Slap Stix Memories...
When I was a little girl my favorite candy was slap stix. My Mother always bought them for me each grocery shopping day. I grew up and married a man in the military. We were sent to Germany for three years. This was the first time that I had been away from my family for any length of time. I missed my Mother so much and she could tell by the letters and phone calls, even though I tried hard to hide it. My husband brought the mail home one day and he had a box from my Mother, I opened it and it was filled to the brim with slap stix and a note saying, "I love and miss you too, this should make you feel better." I cried and ate at least six slap stix that night. My Mother passed away recently. As I often sat around thinking of her, one day I thought about the slap stix for some reason. I immediately began searching for them. Your store is the only place I can find them. Thank you for a wonderful memory.
