Friday, July 4th is a UPS shipping
holiday...
please plan accordingly!
Questions...
Answers...
When
will my order ship?
Orders
placed by midnight usually ship the next business day
(Monday through Friday). UPS does not deliver on Saturday or
Sunday. You will automatically receive an email from UPS with tracking
numbers when your order ships.
Hot Weather... We only
ship orders that could melt in the hot weather to arrive by Friday of
the same week. Your order may be held until the following Monday.
Otherwise, your candy could melt in a hot UPS truck over the weekend. For
more hot weather shipping information... scroll down.
How
long will it take to arrive?
At the bottom of this
page (scroll down) is a UPS map with shipping times from our location in
Cleveland, Ohio. The number of days shown is "business days."
Shipping days do not include Saturdays and Sundays. Orders placed by
midnight usually ship the next business day.
Is
all of your candy in-stock?
We try our best to
keep everything in-stock but occasionally we run out... you will receive
an email notification and offered a chance to cancel the order.
We will make
substitutions in a Pack-a-Bag order unless you tell us
otherwise in the "Special Instructions and Comments" box of
the shopping cart.
UPS is
too expensive... why don't you use the US Postal Service?
UPS has excellent
software that allows us to automate the shipping label generation
process. They provide daily pickup at our location and offer on-line
tracking of your shipment. Packages are automatically insured for up to
$100.00 and filing a claim is easy compared to the complex and lengthy
process offered by the US postal service.
To use the US Postal
Service, we would have to generate a shipping label by hand, take it to
the Post Office and then stand in line. This is why most businesses use
UPS. Note... for packages weighing over 5 lbs., UPS is actually less
expensive.
Will
my chocolate candy melt when shipping in hot weather?
Yes,
it will! When purchasing meltable candy you will
be given the opportunity to purchase Ice-Brix™
for an addition charge of $3.00 per shipment. Ice-Brix™ are reusable
refrigerant bags that will protect your candy during shipment.
The purpose of
Ice-Brix™ is to keep your candy below 80 degrees... not to keep the
candy cold. The Ice-Brix™ may be warm when they arrive. Check your
candy after it has a chance to cool off inside your home or office.
We
only ship orders that could melt in the hot weather to arrive by Friday
of the same week. Your order may be held to the following Monday.
Otherwise, your candy could melt in a hot UPS truck over the weekend. UPS
does not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
We
cannot be responsible for candy that melts in shipment
unless you purchase Ice-Brix™. Chocolate and marshmallow
are the candies at risk. The assortments will not need Ice-Brix™.
If you purchase
Ice-Brix™ and the candy melts, we reserve the right to issue a refund
or reship.
What
types of shipping services are available?
UPS Ground
(Continental US locations)
UPS Next Day Air (most city locations by 10:30 AM)
UPS Second Day Air (by the end of 2nd
day)
UPS 3 Day Select (by the end of 3rd
day)
Note: It's
always best to ship to a business location if possible. UPS will
leave the package as long as someone will sign for it and it will be
protected from theft and hot weather.
How
much are the shipping charges?
The charge for all
orders is $8.45 for UPS ground shipping to a single continental US location.
For orders of $200.00 or more, UPS ground shipping is free. Orders
shipping to Alaska and Hawaii must go by UPS 2nd Day Air... no free
shipping.
How
do I cancel or change my order?
You can cancel or
change your order at any time up to 12:00 noon eastern time the day it
ships. Reply to your email confirmation with your changes or call
toll-free 1-866-929-5477. Please realize that your candy usually
(but not always) ships the
next business day.
Will
UPS leave my package if I am not at home?
Most of the time they
will leave the package near a door. But... It
is entirely up to the discretion of the UPS driver to leave the
package if no one is home. The driver will leave a notice of a
delivery attempt along with delivery instructions for you. UPS will attempt to delivery
3 times before returning the package.
If a package is
returned to us we will issue a refund for the candy minus any shipping
charges. With your permission we will reship to a new address along with
new shipping charges.
How
do I ship to Hawaii, Alaska?
Shipments must
go by UPS Second Day Air. We do not use any other form of shipment. We
understand that UPS offers ground service but it is only a few dollars
cheaper than Second Day Air and may take as long as 7 days to arrive.
Can I
ship to an APO or FPO address?
Yes you can and
shipping may be free. Please visit this page for APO
and FPO shipping info.
Can
I pick up the candy at your store?
No, we do not have a
retail store. We process all of our candy orders on the web and ship
from our warehouse.
Do
you ship internationally?
We only ship by UPS to
the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.
What
happens if there is a mistake in my order?
If we make a mistake
in your shipment, we reserve the right to either issue a refund or
replace your candy. Click here to contact us
about the error.
Can you redirect a UPS shipment once it is in transit?
UPS does offer a
redirect service that works fairly well as long as it is not out for
delivery in the city of your destination. We will make every effort to
redirect your package but we will have to pass along the $10.00 UPS
charge to your credit card. If UPS cannot redirect the package you will
not be charged.
What
happens if the delivery is damaged, late or lost?
We hope you understand
that we cannot be responsible for late or lost deliveries by UPS... it
doesn't happen often, but it does happen. We will cooperate with you in
every way to track your package and file a claim if necessary. If we
make a mistake with the address, we reserve the right to issue a refund
or reship. Click here
to contact us about the problem.
