Sour Patch Kids memories... When I was in third grade I remember I had a crush on a boy in my class.
I told one of my girlfriends at the time, and my secret eventually got out. I remember being really embarrassed.
Then the next day I get a note in my desk... and attached to it is a small bag of Sour Patch Kids! It
was basically a note from the boy I liked with a message that said he wanted to be friends with me. I was absolutely thrilled. It was the
cutest and sweetest thing. ~ Marie from California
When I was younger, my mother
would always take me grocery shopping with her. In addition to being
absolutely fascinated by the endless variety and brightly colored
aisles, I knew that the end of every grocery shopping trip would
hold a special treat for me. As we would check out, she would always
grab a bag of Sour Patch Kids and place them in our cart when I
wasn't watching. When we would get home and unpack all the
groceries, I would always discover with glee that the Sour Patch
Kids had "mysteriously" appeared in one of the bags.
I would quickly open the bag
and spread the Sour Patch Kids out on the table, carefully separated
by color. I would eat them one by one, making my best puckered-up
sour faces after every one, much to the amusement of my mother.
Now, years later, whenever I
see a bag of Sour Patch Kids, I think of my mother and our shopping
trips. And even now, I carefully separate them by color before
eating them! ~ Shari from New York
My daughters and I were in
Utah visiting my parents. My little brother (14) at the time was
working at a little neighborhood store in Willard, Utah. A little
tiny blip in the road. My husband was doing his two week active
duty, so the girls aged 2, 4, and 9 at the time had driven down from
Cheyenne, WY.
My girls went to the store
and "discovered" Sour Patch Kids which were not sold in Wyoming at
the time. They could not get enough of them. When we got back home,
we were pleasantly surprised to find out that my little brother had
put a whole box in our luggage for the girls to find. They were
ecstatic and they are still my youngest daughter Sharon's favorite
candy. ~ Tina from Utah
